The story is based on the novella of the same title by Prosper Mérimée, which itself derives from the legend of the gypsy Carmen. - Synopsis: Carmen

And when I decided to launch a new collection of gifts, for art lovers, I thought that Carmen Bizet would be a good source of inspiration.
We used illustrations by artist Alexandra Brin to create this gift collection CARMEN. Her charming and recognizable characters are influenced by the artist's long and close ties with the Cleveland Ballet. So, her series of drawings "Carmen" is just one of her collections related to the repertoire of the Cleveland Ballet. And MORO DESIGN GIFTS is planning another collection of artistic gifts "MAGIC FLUTE" dedicated to the opera of the same name by Mozart.
